Impact of proliferative stress on both adaptive and innate immune response

چکیده
Human ageing is by far one of the most complex biological phenomena which affects all cells and tissues, leading to gradual loss function, decrement in proliferative activity, impaired cellular response. One key mechanisms stress results telomeric attrition, DNA damage, deposition senescence-associated proteins. Allogeneic hematopoietic transplantation (allo-HCT) serves as a good model for ageing. Here we review immune system impact on both innate adaptive response, reflected immunosenescence inflammageing phenomena, context iatrogenic induced allo-HCT.

Manipulation of NKG2D Ligands by Cytomegaloviruses: Impact on Innate and Adaptive Immune Response
NKG2D is a potent activating receptor expressed on NK cells, NKT cells, γδ T cells, and CD8 T cells. NKG2D recognizes cell surface molecules structurally related to MHC class I proteins induced by infection or other type of cellular stress. The engagement of NKG2D leads to NK cell cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion or to a co-stimulation of CD8 T cells. Both human and mouse cytomegalovirus (CM...
متن کاملPollen-induced oxidative stress influences both innate and adaptive immune responses via altering dendritic cell functions.
It has been demonstrated that pollen grains contain NAD(P)H oxidases that induce oxidative stress in the airways, and this oxidative insult is critical for the development of allergic inflammation in sensitized mice. On the basis of this observation, we have examined whether pollen grain exposure triggers oxidative stress in dendritic cells (DCs), altering their functions. To test this hypothes...
متن کاملKiller Cell Immunoglobulin-Like Receptors Influence the Innate and Adaptive Immune Responses
Natural killer (NK) cells are a subset of lymphocytes which play a crucial role in early innate immune response against infection and tumor transformation. Furthermore, they secrete interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) prompting adaptive immu-nity. NK cells distinguish the unhealthy cells from the healthy ones through an array of cell-surface receptors. Human NK cells use inhibi...

متن کاملGliadin Peptides as Triggers of the Proliferative and Stress/Innate Immune Response of the Celiac Small Intestinal Mucosa
Celiac disease (CD) is a frequent inflammatory intestinal disease, with a genetic background, caused by gliadin-containing food. Undigested gliadin peptides induce innate and adaptive T cell-mediated immune responses. The major mediator of the stress and innate immune response to gliadin peptides (i.e., peptide 31-43, P31-43) is the cytokine interleukin-15 (IL-15). The role of epithelial growth...
